


Dr. Abel Li, MD, OD
Dr. Abel Li, MD, OD has dual training in both ophthalmology and optometry. Dr. Li has accredited specialty training in ophthalmology from Yale University. He has been a board- certified ophthalmologist with specialty training in glaucoma and cataract surgery for 20 years. He has been in the eye health industry for 25 years.
Diverse Training
Prior to medical school, Dr. Li received his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from the University of Houston. He then received his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the University of Texas. After one year of internship at the known Lyndon B. Johnson General Hospital in Houston, he completed his ophthalmology residency at New York Albany Medical Center. He then completed a fellowship in glaucoma at Yale University School of Medicine. At Yale, he had the opportunity to train and work with many known
ophthalmologists.
Thorough Experience
With his extensive training Dr. Li offers expert medical care for patients with a wide range of eye diseases. He specializes in medical and laser treatment of glaucoma. Dr. Li is a skilled eye surgeon with over 10,000 ocular surgical cases performed in his career.
In his free time, Dr. Li enjoys swimming, hiking in the Pacific NW outdoors, and rooting for the Seahawks on weekends. He has lived in the State of Washington with his wife since 2000 along with their two sons.
